Shoot, it's bamboo "A shirt made out of bamboo may sound a bit strange, but one local couple are so sure you'll love it that they bet their house on it...." 04/16/2006 The Denver Post link Shop talk: Green goodies "No need to hug a tree when you can wear a bamboo shirt...." 3/17/2006 Diane Smith Customer Testimonial I wanted to tell you I bought my first 100% bamboo fiber t-shirt at the Sat. morning market & I just loved the way it feels. I came home & ordered 2 more on-line. They are so comfortable. It's like wearing nothing. I've told my friends about you & they have checked out your website also. I am a very satisfied customer. 2/21/2006 Michael D. Berk Customer Testimonial I want to congratulate you on your products. I bought long sleeve and a short sleeve T's and your sport socks after reading about them in Tree Hugger. I really wanted to know just how viable "Bamboo clothing" could be. WOW!! The only other time I was this amazed was when I found an Italian Merino wool shirt in a discount store! These items are so light! Layered, the long sleeve T is great under a heavy cotton sweater I have. I had no problems staying warm in sub-freezing weather with a basic coat on. The sport socks are very cushy and work well with my moccasins. I am in the market for more. 2/13/2006 Treehugger.com link Shirts of Bamboo (And Sweaters Too!) Sometimes things are hiding right under your nose. Found this one in our advertisers panel just a few pixels across there to the right. The sweater shown here is 70% bamboo, blended with 30% wool. And Shirts of Bamboo wax lyrical about how it compares in luxurious softness to the finest cashmere. Apparently numbers are limited, so get in quick. One colour only - would you believe: bamboo green! $65 USD. While you're visiting the site you might notice the cami for women, booties for rugrats, and wash cloths for all. 02/06/2006 MightyGoods.com link Bamboo Long Sleeve Crewneck Turns out bamboo T-shirts are the softest damn things you've ever felt. I know this because they sent me a sample and I ran around the office insisting that everyone rub the shirt against their faces. They're made of actual bamboo fibers, and are thinner than most cotton T-shirts, more like a heavy silk. They're durable and wash much like cotton (but do better on the gentle cycle). They wick better, feel better, and have natural antibacterial qualities, so you'll smell better. And everyone is happy about that. Comes in 8 colors. 1/7/2006 Srividya Customer Testimonial Women's 100% Bamboo Fine Jersey Long Sleeve V-Neck Words like amazing and superb don't do justice to this shirt. I was so excited to try it on, this is my first bamboo shirt. The material is so soft and silky with a nice sheen. The shirt itself has a little elasticity, like Lycra although Lycra is listed as being used only in the collar. It is lightweight and rolls up nicely - perfect for traveling light. I use this as a base layer, so the wrinkles are not a problem. I also compared the performance of this shirt with a CoolMax t-shirt during workout. No difference in the rate of moving moisture away from the body or the speed of drying, which means I'm never going to buy CoolMax (made from polyester) shirts again. 1/5/2006 Amara Customer Testimonial Thanks for these bamboo products. I just love the feel of the fabric--its so silk like and just feels awesome against my skin. The shirt I ordered for my husband was a tad too large, but he's wearing it anyhow (and he likes the texture too.) It almost reminds me of the softness of some microfibers (synthetics.) This is the first I'd ever heard of, let alone worn of bamboo materials, and I'm sure to order more in the future. We like hemp clothes, but most of them are just too rough & bulky feeling---so this is a good alternative.
